Pain management has advanced by leaps and bounds in recent years. We take pain management very seriously and require pain management with all surgical procedures where we believe that your pet may experience pain post operatively.

We practice preemptive pain management because studies show that patients treated before painful procedures have shorter healing times and fewer complications.

Painful Diseases

Pain management is also important in animals with diseases that cause pain. Diseases such as osteoarthritis, cancer, and certain infections, to name a few, generally require some form of pain management.

Multimodal Pain Management

We practice multimodal pain management. This means that we may use several medications at one time in order to block various types of pain receptors. Providing appropriate pain management helps pets heal faster and improves the quality of life of older pets.
